which frame should i buy for xc race/trail riding, the on one inbred (not sliding dropout) or the on one 456?

The 456 is above 5lbs.0

6.5lb ish for my 18" 456, feels right with 140mm forks. If you are after a hardtail for more racing type stuff get something second hand and far lighter off ebay etc designed for 100-120mm forks0

I would get a 456 then, great for the price, chuck on 140mm forks. They are quite long so you can downsize them. Mines an 18" which is fine for me at 6'3 with a 400mm post about 1" from max, 70mm stem and Pikes.

There is more than the frame to consider. Yes it is a heavy frame, but cheap and tough.0
