Check eBay for the VHoldr. They just released a new ContourHD model so the original can be had for less than £100 now. And you really don't need HD for personal use or posting to YouTube/Pinkbike.0

Pick up my Contour HD tomorrow
Be ready for Coed Y Brenin this coming Thursday 8)
Zeroman your wrong the extra quality is visualy stunning
Just go on wide screen when watching videos on you tube
and they look like a pirate copy.0 -
I'll grant that the video quality on the new one is fantastic as is the wide angle but I couldn't justify the extra cost when the original is so cheap now (that's code for: I'm trying to talk myself into buying one). Will you be posting videos online after you've tried it out?
Plus the OP did say less than £150.0 -
Hi Zeroman yer will put them up.
Saying that I will find the link that tells you about the old VholdR
They did have problems with the old one and say how much they changed it.
Picking the HD version up for £ 260.00p from a shop near me but had seen
the Contour HD up for £ 250.00p from velourcity.co.uk
These are in portsmouth.0 -
Cheers. Didn't realise they had problems with the old one. You may be saving me money (or costing me more...)0

Try this site.
helmetcamreview.com also helmetcameracentral.com this one more for the Contour models0 -
There was a lot of bad word of mouth for the first version- they were quite popular on a US motorbike forum I'm on and though some people were totally happy, others had a lot of niggles. The new one does look completely ace but I have to admit, I have my doubts about the company themselves, I've a feeling that (like Oregon) they knew fine well they were releasing a flawed product.Uncompromising extremist0

Well i've got the GoPro Helmet Hero Wide but I paid a bit more than £150 for that, it was £190 but it's really good for the money.
I got my camera from this site and they've got quite a range of different priced Helmet Cameras.0 -
Just back from the megavalanche with the Contour HD - my word it is amazing. 130 degree FOV and 1080i HD, and a decent battery, great mounts, good software, for me it is the perfect head cam at the moment.0

Pics, er, videos or it didn't happen Been looking more and more at these things, they really do look fantastic, I've been messign around with my own seperates rig but it's such a pain for cycling, and if this thing delivers on its promise then the image should be better too... Might just sell up and get a new one 8)Uncompromising extremist0

I will be uploading them all this weekend, including footage of a nasty crash in the qualifier which still has me off the bike now as my left leg got jammed between the front fork and the frame as I cartwheeled twice at around 25mph
I was running around 25-30th at the time and could have just coasted to the bottom and qualified. As it was even after the crash I came 49th, four places from qualifying. It still placed me on the front row of the megapromo but there was no way I could have raced as I couldn't straighten or bend my leg. Still no idea how I got back on the bike and finished the qualifier really.
Got some nice footage from Pila in Italy too!!
Links at the weekend!0 -
Ah, that sucks... Though sounds like a great trip anyway. As my dad said after I walked into his house with a broken hip, "Adrenaline and stupidity are a powerful cocktail".Uncompromising extremist0
