I got a pair of these, 25s, because they were cheap. Are they robust enough for commuting?

  • I've been training and racing on them for a couple of months, pretty smooth rolling. They have picked up a few cuts, particularly on the sidewalls, no 'pneumatic decompressions' as yet, but I'm not sure I would want to commute on them, they were a pain in the arse to get on and off!

I found getting them on to a pair of old Marvic/Campag wheels far easier than Vittorio Rubs and Armadillo on newer wheels. They just seem a bit soft and smooth for commuting, but I think they have some puncture resistance.
