A week staying so close to the forest it was outside the back door reminded me why I love biking. Stayed in Dunwich, there was easy access to trails to Walberswick, Sizewell, Thorpeness and Aldeburgh along the coast, or through the woods, even have (slightly) steep bits and boardwalk sections that are great fun. You can even cycle along the A12 without fear of being squashed.

From the point of view of somebody who can't get to wales or the lakes every weekend I wish magazines would mention more places like this.

Only shocking thing was how many bikes were left unlocked and how fast sea water can turn a chain orange!

Glad you enjoyed it chap

Dunwich and the surrounding areas are my local haunts - it's about a 15 minutes car journey from Lowestoft where i live.

Should have met up, i know some cracking loops around there - still, you sound like you did alright on your own
