I have just bought a second hand bike and it come with rockshox pilot air sl foks. when i contract them they are very rough and make alot of noise like a gurgling sound, they are not running very smooth at all.
I have let the air out, drained the oil out and removed the spring to give it all a good clean. i have contracted them while they are stripped but the problem is still there.
Is there anything else i can do or have they completely had it?
I know they are not great forks but they are all ive got until i can afford a new set.
oh yeah, i think they are 03/04 models.
thanks, Russ.

did you follow the service instructions?
or did you just do what you thought was right?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

They have probably had it - and will need new seals and bushings.
Have a look here to see if you can find a manual. The Judy SL 2002 is very similar.0 -

or you can look on the RS site and use the correct manual

come on Paul."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

im having trouble opening that link. do you know if there is anything i can do myself?0

It is very difficult to replace the bushings yourself if they are shot.
Might be worth getting a new fork.0 -
