How much are carbon seatposts surpose to flex? I have a FSA SL-K carbon seatpost in my titainium mountain bike and it is near it's maxium insert point and it flex's quite a bit.

I was just wondering how much flex should be expected?

Depends on model. Some are designed to give a bit, and is always more noticable the longer the post is.

    How much do you weigh?

Just over 10 stone. I didn't know if the titainium frame gave it any extra flex? It is a long seatpost though.

The top of a light ti frame may well indeed flex. The FSA is a pretty hefty carbon post though. Make sure it extends down past the the top tube when inserted.

The seatpost is inserted 2cm away from the maxium insert so it's still got 12cm of seatpost in the frame and 7cm below the top tube from the centre (of TT).

It's looks like the top flex's the most like a cm or so below the setback. It proballt is ment to flex this much, but is just looks a lot.

    thanks ss
