Went to halfords to pick up my boardman but the man came out and said when he was doing the final checks alot of screws were cross threaded, i decided not to get a bike from there.

So after numerous bike shops i went to my local shop which had this for £700

I bought it and rode it today brilliant bike but the most insanely hard saddle!!!

Any ideas on that?

Did i get a good buy?

Bianchi make nice road bikes - mountain bikes, not so much. Still, better then a boardman.

However, looks alright, and has a decent spec. You will probably get used to the saddle. Give it a little longer before thinking about replacing it.

You could always invest in some padded shorts. I use them and i can never imagine how i coped without them.

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

  • whats that mean??? It feels a better ride than the boardman and looks imho a thousand times better.

maybe, maybe not. If you're happy with the bike you have then you have the right bike. If you can go on long rides & enjoy it, it's the right bike.

The spec looks really good and to be honest if your only issue is the saddle I think you have a pretty good bike there. Give it a few rides if the saddle is still annoying look for a replacement one. I found the Fizik gobi pretty nice.
  • done 3 rides on it now, still no better. I will get some padded shorts tonight and try it out just the saddle looks superb and i think its worth a soare ass for.
