Which Groupset and wheels?

I've just bought a Cinelli Willin frame set and I'm now looking for a bit of advice on which wheels and groupset to go for.

Am I better to spend more on a good set of wheels and go for a cheaper groupset (Veloce?) or get a better groupset (Ultegra/Centaur/Athena 11) and cheaper wheels?

I've got between £500 and £700ish to spend on the rest of the bike so just looking for some idea's. I like the idea of getting Campag stuff and keeping the bike Italian but if I do that am I'll need to buy the expensive Campag chain tool, right? Money that might be best spend else where.

My previous bike had 105 tripple on it but it was 2nd hand and getting a bit past it. Also how does SRAM stuff compare?

Thanks for the help :)

Not sure where Columbus manufacture their tubing, frames etc. But Cinelli is Italian so thats what people see...

Rival groupset leaves me with about £150 for wheels, any recomendations?

Campagnolo Athena 11-speed and Fulcrum Racing 5 Evo wheelset in black. £499 for the groupset and £195 for the wheels on www.shinybikes.com (or hang on eBay and you'll likely pick up a set cheaper)

There's a new cheaper Park 11-speed chain tool coming imminently if you feel you really need to own it or pay your LBS a tenner to fit the chain.

SRAM Rival would be just as good depending on your ergonomic and aesthetic preferences. I find the new Campagnolo lever shape better but everyone's hands are different...

..or buy the groupset, sell the chain on fleabay and buy a KMC/whatever chain that doesn't require a £60 chaintool.

I'd suggest selling the chain and buying another is likely to be more than the £10 to get your LBS to do it. Which KMC/whatever chain were you thinking that's the right width for 11-speed? Haven't seen the KMC X11SL available for sale yet although KMC did say Summer 2009 availability.

Anecdotally I think an 11 speed chain with SRAM link will work. Call me paranoid but having broken a chain or two I'd rather not take a chance for the sake of a tenner until the 11-speed dust settles. With 10-speed the KMC chains are very handy though I agree.

Having Campag on my singlespeed (Yes, I know, I just don't like the crappy singlespeed levers) and Rival on my Roubaix, I know I wouldn't go back to Shimano. And especially not on an Italian frame, thats just asking for it. I haven't got used to the single lever to change up and down yet, still a few missed changes and a few upshifts instead of downshifts moments.
If the Campagnolo Athena is available for £499, thats where I would go. Though I'd get the carbon version, just because. Wheel wise, why not look at Roval Pave? They are tough, but light enough.
