hi everyone,

after having my scott spark 50 for a couple of months i've decided that i want to do something to make it a bit more individual.

so i was thinking of changing the wheels, obviously i would like them to be better than whats on (alex rims xc44) lighter/stronger etc, so any advice and comments would be appreciated.

one condition they must be white. thank's :)

Although the american classics are very nice wheels. I'd always use handbuilts on my mtbs.

I'd suggest the DT xr 4.2d, i've just got a set and they're absolutely pimped, also very lightweight. I'd use silver spokes because white ones will set you back between 150 and 350 quid!!!!! For hubs, either the dt swiss ones (very expensive) or the halo supadrive rear and the spindoctor front.

Either build them yourself or get your lbs to build them.

the white Halos are not really XC rims.

Freeride yes for the freedoms and the rest 4X and DH and DJ.

not worth it, sell your old wheels (or keep as spares) and buy new wheels.

Nic what did you mean about the halo wheels, i was only refering to the hub.

Other white rims that would be really nice, the stans rims now come in white, more will be arriving in the uk soon apparently.

err YES makes finding punctures so much easier. when you know where to look on both the tube and the tyre.

The only difference between the colours is the price!!!!

Normally black bits are a little bit more than silver, and then white are a massive premium...

Very nice bike, love the rims. Wish I had the cash to put white rims on mine.
