Hi. I bought this rack today http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165643 But it doesnt fit on to my wifes bike.It fits on to the drop outs but the extender brackets dont reach. Is there any way i can attatch it to the seat post some how? or make the brackets longer? Her bike is a trex 7.5 fx wsd.Thanx

£5 more but a far superior product, and still part of the deal.

if you read the reviews on the halfords website for your rack you will find this
Even though this is good for value it isn't a 'one fits all' regardless what the staff claimed.
The metal extenders to fit the rack to the frame were about 3" Short (I have a Hybrid, with a low angled seat stay) and 28" wheel.
It also doesn't fit a 28" wheel if you have a mud guard on the back.
If you have this problem, then the Topeak Super Tourer has much longer extenders for £5 more from Halfords.
  • Ah yeah maybe i should have, never buy in haste my dad used to say.
