Planning a long bike trip and i have bought a rear rack to fit panniers to. I specifically needed one that fits to a bike with disc brakes, i bought this http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00274SXG0/ref=ox_ya_oh_product . I can fit it to the eyelets on the seat stay but i cannot work out how it can fit at the bottom, around the mech and quick release mechanism. I have a GT avalanche 3.0 http://www.wiggle.co.uk/images/gt%20avalanche%203%20disc%2007.jpg there seem to be bungs which i can fit in some of the holes on the frame, but it isn't a secure fit, i was wonderin if anyone can help? It didnt come with instructions.

This might not be much help, but there is a video here showing how to fit a rear rack. It boils down to whether your frame has threaded eyelets near the dropouts or not. If it does, it is simple.

If it doesn't then here is my guess (note - I have no experience doing this): you'll have to thread your quick release skewer through the rack eyelets, or somehow fix the rack to your spindle. The Tubus Disco rack attaches in this way, for example. Check your rack instructions for clues.

    Good luck.
