Kona Project 2 MTB Fork.....are they worth a look?

Hi Guys,
The plan is to buy a Merlin Malt frame and put a nice steel or alloy rigid fork on it, to keep the weight down.
I have a choice of either the Kona P2 or a Bontrager race switchblade alloy fork.
The Kona is cheaper, but how does it perform? are they very harsh?
Cheers,
Steve

The triple butted one is best.
Have a look at the exotic carbon forks too.0
