Gore Trans Wales

I'm getting ready for the 2009 Trans Wales event and need to be thinking about what to take with me. The Trans Wales website gives some basic tips but I could do with some correspondance with people that have done the event in the past and picked up their own tips along the way. I can imagine that while out on day one I will see somebody with something basic and think to myself what a great idea I wish I'd packed one of those.
Any advice will be greatfully recieved.
