Will the trail versions have a tougher pike/ rev like crown?

    Because that looks pure reba.

I think they do have the stouter crown

Did for this year (the 2009 XC seemed to use the 2008 Reba lowers and crown, the trail forks the rev shell)

    That should be good :)

Do you think they will bring back lower priced air u-turn forks?

    Mmmm...

Have to say, I think that the RockShox Maxle QR through-axle is one of MTB's best, most innovative products over the last decade.

SUCH an improvement over the 4 allen bolts that used to pinch the axle, and another allen bolt for the axle itself!

    Brilliant!

i agree but i have a feeling the hydroliic lockout on all xx forks will be the same, cable discs brakes are pretty much a thing of the past now and i think that using hydrolics instead of a cable for a lockout lever is genius thinking......

Even if (which I can't tell anyway) the Maxle 20mm QR system is less secure, or slightly more flexible, there's NO WAY the tiniest little bit mroe stiffness I'd EVER detect, and the speediness of wheel-removal, and tool free-ness (sorry, my vocabulary ran out, lol) FAR outweighs any other benefits.

    Well done RockShox (SRAM)... 8)

Those in the opening post would look awesome on my bike. I'd prefer them without the v-brake mounts though...is that an option does anyone know?

Have spied a few of the new recons too with Maxles. Not sure of the Tora Maxles will be available in the UK.

Going to be an even more confusing line up!

have they killed off the pikes yet?

not to mention can anyone say range bloat? RS are as bad as specilized!

    Still great forks though...

I have heard of Pikes for 2010, but don't get the powerbulge lowers which seems odd.

I have a pair of the 2010 Tora SL's (disc brake specific model), in Black.

Ordered them from Merlin for £129, down from £199.
I'm not sure if i should have recieved the 2010's as the ad said 2009.

They have the "Power Bulge", and are also Post Mount now.

    Here we go...

You'll have to excuse the reflectors, I STILL haven't got round to taking them off.

Only been out once since I fitted them (Shift work pattern hasn't allowed), so I can't really comment too much on them.

Certainly a world away frok the old Dart 1's I had on there though. Felt nice and smooth when I "Trundled" around our local Blue route last week.

Like I said, I thought £129 was a good deal for the 2009's, so I ordered them.
I even ordered an IS/Post Mount adaptor plate, which I ended up not needing, as I was surprised to see they were the newer model when they turned up.

Can't find any reviews on the 2010's.
    Reba lowers?
    What's the general opinion?

They are not officially released, I think Merlin have got hold of some OE kit destined for bikes. You are probably one of the first to ride on!

SHould be half a pound at least lighter than the dart, and of course has the damping which the dart doesn't it. Should return a little slower than the dart!

How are you finding the Tora SLs pte1643? I have just ordered a pair and a heads up on what to expect would be just the ticket to get my anticipation up (and maybe develop a stomach ulcer :P )
