just ordered myself a set of wheels from merlin, and was wondering what sort of build time they take - what are your experiences. When I ordered my malt 4 the build time was 2 weeks - which i thought was good, hopefully wheels will be a fraction of that.

I found they overestimated, and I got the last one within 4 days of placing my order, pretty good! Bought a Rock Lobster last month, build time quoted two weeks, received it in 5 days!
  • Obviously it makes sense to do it like that, less disappointment etc.

Ordered a pair 10 years ago from them on the phone, said 10 days, got in 8, but for the quality of their wheel builds, I don't care how long it takes, end of the day you'd rather they sacrificed time for quality on something so important.

Ordered mine with a set of brakes as part of a deal. They came through after about 6 to 7 days..Have been great since, nice and strong. Checked all the spokes the other day and all seem to have held their tension.

I know the build is great with merlin, ride some 717's on xt on my HT, and they are good as the day I got em. Ordered 317's for a full sus, so hopefully will handle a bit more abuse
