As I seem to need to replace my cycling glasses with plastic lenses fairly regularly as they get scratched so quickly, I am looking to find a pair of glass lense safety specs instead. I have met someone who has a set of these that he uses for cycling but unfortunately he couldn't remember where he got them from (some american website).

Anyone here got any suggestions where I could keep looking?

Regards

    It's lens, damnit!

Edit: Pedantry aside, proper spelling might actually help your searching.

    Surely glass would still scratch?

A bit over a month ago I forked out £70 on some Specialized glasses (mine were the adapatalite photochromic ones, I think the fixed tint ones are more like £50). These lenses are made from a matierial that was apparently designed for military helicopter windows. Suffice to say it's very hard. I've not scratched mine yet (just had a very close look, what I thought were tiny scratches was actually just dust and muck!)

So maybe more economical in the long run to buy something decent.
