Last Day of Tour de France in Paris

Hi all,
i will be in Paris on the 26th for the last stage of the tour. i would love to watch the race. has anyone been and done this before. any sugguestions of best places to view the race, times etc........

i really want to make the most of it on the sunday! thanks in advance for any advice

    For obvious reasons it gets very crowded anywhere near the finish line, but there's a good spot near the river, as they come off the Place de la Concorde.

    If you are there at the Quai des Tuilieries near the big road bridge you see a kind of zig-zag view of the riders as they ride on to place do la Concorde, across it, and then turn off to go along the riverside road.

    thanks for your reply Le Commentateur! :D i was looking at that area as it was the finish. you have been at this before ..... is it an early start on the sunday to get the best viewing position? do you have to buy a ticket or anything?
