Well, my DMR Trailstar frame that I bought second hand off Pinkbike has been in my LBS having the BB faced and headset pressed. Mechanic dude phoned me up yesterday and informed me that there is a 10mm crack in the headtube and he wants to speak to me about what to do. Suffice to say I'm a bit peeved (effing PO'd to be accurate), but what do you expect if you pay £50 for a frame eh?

So, new frame?

Or see about getting the old one repaired?

for most other bikes that are steel i would be tempted to fix. But as it is a DMR i will expect it to fail somewhere else very soon as the ones that cracked did so with style.

Cheers. Now for some buying advice!

I want to spend less than £150 on a new frame - must be steel, able to take some abuse and with horizontal droputs...

    So far I've found:

    On-One Inbred Slot for £125.01
Charge Iron for £150 at Wiggle.

    Any other reccomendations?
