Replacement bolt for hope seat clamp

Due to my Gorilla like strength and baboon like brain, I managed to snap the bolt on my hope seat clamp this morning.

Does anyone know if and where I can find a replacement bolt for a 2009 31.8mm hope bolted seat clamp? Or am I just going to have to get a new clamp?

Get in touch with Hope - I'm sure they'll sort you out. They've got the reputation of having the best and most comprehensive spare and parts support in the industry! You might even get one free - nothing ventured nothing gained and all that...

Or, if you wanna do it cheap as chips, take the bolt along to your local nuts 'n' bolts shop and buy one there...

As per advice above, I sent hope an email stating that entirely due to my own stupidity, I broke the bolt and where can I find a replacement, or could I buy direct from them.

In under 3 mins they replied with the following:

"Hello matt,sorry you have had an issue with your bolt and if you would like to send us your address details and i will post one out for you"

Now, I know it's only a bolt, worth like a penny or something, but still, you have to admit that is some awesome service right there, well worth paying a slight premium imo.

Update, Just got another email off them confirming that a new bolt is now in the post an on its way.

Just another quick update.

Less than 24hrs after I broke my clamp bolt, my replacement bolt has arrived.

For anyone who was wondering if it's worth spending slightly more on Hope products over some of their cheaper rivals, HELL YES!

Even had a little hand written note from some dude at hope saying "Hope this helps you out".

In contrast, the replacement spacer I ordered from Mavic, (the one they are charging £5 just for postage, and refuse to send me the single part, only the entire axle assembly), is still not here, almost 6 weeks after ordering it.

Funnily enough this is the first time in my entire life I've ever said "I'm not even remotely surprised" and meant it in a good way!

Hope are awesome with aftersales, their products aint half bad either.

Hope saved me with bits like that on more than one instance. Exactly same when i managed to snap the brake lever clamp, 2 days later and shiney new one drops through the letterbox for free.

If Hope have the part which does the job i'm after more often then not i go with hope as i know i'm gonna get good after sales if needed. Only needed there help after my own daft moments tho - never due to a failure
