Hey guys long time no e-chat.

Been busy working which has meant no riding which in turn made me depressed.

But all sorted now :-D

Anyway first things first new Vid is online, very short and mainly for the stack at the end my mate Phil grabbed that front break at totally the wrong time haha.

Superstar Components.

I tried to get some reviews from on here but no one seemed to have used them or didn't want to comment, so I went ahead and purchased some stuff anyway.

Deliver is super fast, I got 6 sets of pads and two rotors.

Pads are almost identical to the brand ones minus a few details fit fine and after bedding in work just as well, will comment on the life as and when.

Rotors are well rotors they don't look as aesthetically pleasing but who cares they are a bit heavier than the brand ones but not that Im gona notice that.

Overall so far 8/10 for them they lose a few marks because they sent me the wrong stuff even though it was listed as the correct items on the invoice.

Bill.
I use all 9 inches.

  • Haha awesome stuff, jumps what is this black magic you talk about.

Summer Hols awesome loads of riding, best part of my job when it's not busy is generally I get to ride every day with the long sun hours and half the year off :)

I do miss the mud at times though :(

I have bought brake pads from supstar components and I would definately buy them again.

I have found that hte life is as you would expect from the branded ones, but they are just so much cheaper.

There were some issues a while back...some folk were complaining of the braking material peeling away, or falling off the backing plate, but superstar say you can send the pads back something like 45 days after you bought them...even if you fitted and used them....

    I like 'em....

    oh...and nice trails...

I had a few sets of the duff pads and they put me in some nasty situations after the brake failed. However, the free replacements are fine and I'm about to try the Kevlar versions. Still less that origianl Avid pads.

Also got the Superstar QR's - Great and less weight than my Mavics and the Mag Pedals for my big feet. Same as Nuke Proof but for a lot less.
  • I have four sets of the Kevlar pads so looking forward to trying them out :)

I have the SS resin pads and I like them, good feel and power. They dont last as long as some pads I have tried but at 4 sets for £20 who cares.
