Roval quick releases... Is it just me, or are these mince?

I decided to try the quick releases that came with my traversees, and they just seem to be horrible... No positive action at all, they're squishy, and the lever feels flexy (maybe it's the coating) so even when they're full on, they don't inspire any confidence. They do seem to work but they just feel orrible, compared to any of my XTs, my Superstar ones, and even the cheapies that came with my Carrera...

Is it just me?

I find them okay to use, they are however 12 grams heavier than the DT Swiss ones that came with the 420SL wheels on my Enduro SL

That is a shocker  I guess I'll retire them to the commuter or something, there's probably nothing really wrong with them but we don't seem to be compatible.

If you want about as much wheel security as you can possible get for QR, Northwind, try the DT Swiss RWS. Not the cheapest, but definitely one of the most secure!

The shimano ones are enclosed cam ones, so are generally the best, i'd imagine the DT ones work pretty well as well though.

The Roval ones are sort of similiar to the XT ones I have... TBH there's nothing at all wrong with XT or the Superstar ones I have (which are a Salsa ripoff), I just like the blingy Roval ones to match the wheels  The DT ones do look ace though!

The DT ones are VERY good. I have a slightly older, lardier version. Instead of having a big round lever, it was a thinner afair, and honeycomb one side. They do look good though!

those dt rws are rubbish, i had one fitted to the back of my enduro and just didnt trust it. i like the roval ones though.

the mavic ones fitted to my crossmax wheels are nice to use but fit awkwardly against my fork when fastened.
