Hi again!
I think I've decided to get these knee pads ... trouble is, I don 't know whether to get L or XL. Some reviews saythat they 'give' and will slip down, others say that they come on the small side.
On paper, measuring my leg, the size is XL... but what if they start slipping down aftera couple of rides?
Does anybody have some knowledge to share?
Thanks.

i measured up exactly for the XLs. After a few rides they did loosen up and i ended up buying the same pad in a large. Luckily my brother is fatter than me and crahes more so managed to get rid of them. If poss do try them on before purchase. dont know if there is one local to you but cycle surgery have started stocking 661 gear on the shelf.

Hi! Thanks for that... i did try the XL and yes, they fit ok; now, that is. Not sure in 10rides time, however.
On the other hand, the Large is smaller than my leg measurement.... would it be too small or actually stretcH? No idea....

They do stretch. my measurments were just under the middle of the XL size range if you catch my drift. :? But once they had worn in a bit ithey were right on the limit of how tight the straps would go and were a bit baggy round the back of my knees and became uncomfy.

i bought the large version of the 661 d30 evo's - i'm medium build and they fit perfect - a bargain at 39.99 (brand new from an mx shop ;) )

i found they come up a bit big and would size down if on the borderline.

tho if you want to play it safe, you could buy the bigger size and if they end up too big you can do what i did: stitch up the excess material on the strap. effectively shortening the strap length so it fits tighter around your leg. very quick and easy to do and no more slippage.

I had the exact same issue.. Mine still aren't too bad as the elastic straps still hold them in place, but I think once they strecth out a bit, it'll be time to go down a size..

Thanks for this all. I in fact ordered size L, so hopefully they'll be fine.
