Sean Kelly mentioned on Europsort today that this year's Tour of Ireland will only be 3 days/stages... the route isnt up yet. Anybody have any news on this?

Yeah, just 3 stages this year. No routes etc.
But Cavendish and Armstrong are riding

They closed the website today for the new one for this year.

    Thanks...

Seems as though stage 1 will be a big loop from Powerscourt in Co Wicklow to Waterford city....

I wonder if stage 2 will be waterford to Cork

Maybe they shortened it to help the old-timer.

I'm surprised he's racing there at all, what with it being known that it rains in Ireland on occasion
Let's close our eyes and see what happens

I think its pretty cool that Armstrong and Cavendish are going to be racing on my old training ground.

Unless either gets busted between then and now of course

That's OK, Lance will blame the French anyway.

Well I heard that LA has asked for 2 million euros in unmarked bills.

Lance is on no salary. And he's doing the Tour of Ireland because he is doing his Livestrong Cancer Summit in Dublin at the same time.

    Makes sense to me

And yes, I have noticed a lot of BS on this forum :)

Yes, he's taking no salary but he did get paid $1m for appearing in Oz and €2m for the Giro.

That's why people are mentioning fee's.

I'm so excited- this might be my first pro race to watch "live". Might even see, or even meet, Lance Armstrong! Wow

Todays question : Has LA left Astana now? If so, how is he taking part?

Thats a good point, who is Lance riding for?
I thought Bruynel and LA were history at Astana from end of July?

    Is Vino/Kash riding for Astana?

You'd be a bit miffed if you forked out to get Lance and Astana along, and ended up with Vino instead

Wonder if the contract with Astana stipulates that Armstrong has to be a member of the team. Perhaps Mellow Johnny's will be getting another outing.

Do you actually read this forum? Iain posts on a wider range of topics than anybody else on here. Just on the first page he has started threads on the Vuelta, the Tour of Poland and possible Radio Shack Riders. Only one of those has any connection to LA or doping.

He'll get nowhere near winning stage 3.

Why not? They look like lumps to me rather than mountains, and he isn't that bad at getting over those either.

    He won stage 1, 2 and 3 in 2008.
