So I had a small "incident" which resulted in a lot of damage to myself, but very little damage to the bike.. luckily.

However, on my front brake lever, there is a little screw that once you have micro-adjusted the cable then sort of holds that adjustment in place by screwing into the body of the lever - which I managed to snap.. so instead of being an "O" was more like a "U"?

I have explained that quite badly, but hopefully someone knows what I'm on about.

Two questions:
1. Is it really necessary, or is just a bit of extra security?
2. Where on earth could i find a replacement if I should replace it?!

Cheers,

  • You're absolutely right! I should have done this to start with:

Not really much like a screw as I had originally described..!

  • I was sure it would have some sort of fancy name!

    Great idea though. Cheers!

Still got no idea how I only managed to break that.. I'll consider myself lucky.
