I didn't realise it would make that much difference.

I decided to do my usual commute on my Bianchi road bike today, as opposed to using my Boardman Hybrid. Despite a stiff head wind I lopped 6 and a half mins off my normal 39 min time to work this morning.
It felt faster, but I’m not sure how much this is down to the bike or me trying to do it justice!
Must do this more often.
I ache, therefore I am.

It was 100% down to the bike.

You think Lance Armstrong would have won any Tour de France stages or the whole competition itself if he rode a hybrid!

  • Thanks DDD, further justification for spending lots of money on bikes, I can get home faster to see the wife and kids! Can't see that one working somehow.

Mind you it would be interesting to see how Lance would do in the Tdf on a hybrid.
