Just wondered if anyone's come across one of these before...

Looks like it could be a great option for budget bike cam action, it's so small that it should be dead easy to mount in any number of locations. There's an "extreme sports kit" available too which includes various mounts. Only downer is the poor battery life, presuming that the quality is OK...

ATC5Ks are expensive and still s**t  And my JXD recording device cost $30 and works better than the boxes Dogcam sell for £200. Cheap isn't always bad...

Yeah, Hero cam is probably the best option for pedal use unless this thing measures up, I like seperates but they're such a pain without a constant power supply and stable platform- too many bits, too many wires to come loose etc.

Hmm. Here's a wee vid taken with the same unit:

Very jerky when it pans... Looks pretty useless for mtb use if they're all like this, can't deal with rapid pan :( Cam-on-a-chip fails again I think

i can solder and build things, but power and like you pointed out, constant power is an issue

apart from that, i think chest mounted cams, give great results, pic wise, shows the movement of the biek/rider the best

Yeah, if I thought I'd only ever use mine on the pushbike I guess I'd hardwire it all, or at least remove some breaks, but then it'd only be good for that.So instead I carry around about 400 feet of wire held together with a similiar amount of electric tape

I like the look of this camera:

You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.

I get the feeling that uses the same cmos setup or similiar to the ATCs, if you look at some of the videos they have the same low-speed wobble... TBH I'd just say look elsewhere, the low quality of some of the videos they've chosen to host on their own website is seriously offputting. This one for instance...

If that's what they choose to promote the thing, it's not a very good sign...

I just mounted my camera on my handlebar, this is the result

This is a Canon Ixus 55 in normal video mode, decent quality I think.

If I knew how to put photo's in a post I would show some of the DIY mount
