    "A double-decker sports plane"

Those A380 pilots are getting cocky.

When I worked at British Midland I was lucky enough to get a lift across the main runway at Heathrow. 8)

You have to sit at traffic lights (I kid you not!) and wait for the gap between aircraft then drive like buggery across the tarmac. It's one hell of a sight to drive across the main runway at the busiest airport in the world and look directly AT 6 flaming HUGE aircraft all in a line and all heading straight at you! (and they were the only ones I could see)

Then there was that time I walked into a 737 I didn't notice. Don't ask... very embarrassing.

A 'double decker' sports plane with torn off 'lower frame'? What sort of ignorant gimps are the BBC employing to write these days? If anyone wants a job, it looks like writing the correct address on the app form would probably be enough!

Well as the BBC are completely in the pay of the Labour Party it would seem the only skill you need is the ability to sell out your principals....

I'm sorry I got all bitter and political there.

Are you going to apologise for being completely wrong too? (also since the tory principles are all-consuming greed, hatred and self-interest I wouldn't get too cocky about that)

I used to live in Seattle, and I'd go kayaking on Lake Union - a convenient downtown lake :-)

However, as well as the normal motorboat/saliboat traffic, Lake Union was also used by a local seaplane company. So, you're out in a kayak, you see a gap to paddle across when there's no other vessels in the way......and then this drops out of the sky

No gold stars for the beeb. It's not even a german plane. Bloody lucky nobody was seriously hurt, in the plane/car or on the path.

Interesting how they concentrate on the plane hitting a car. I was more worried about the cyclists on the path

That would never happen. The cyclists would always hit the plane.
