Has anyone tried this trip? Is it posible or is life too far apart to cycle.
Just a pipedream at the moment, but might be an option next summer.

This guy is going east from Vancouver, well up north along the coast to Prince Rupert first, then east through the Cariboo and Rocky Mountains. Some stunning scenery and bears. In the middle of nowhere he had one of his panniers stolen. Unbelievable.

Of course it's possible. I did Vancouver - St Johns, Newfoundland, passing through Qubec a few years back.

I'm not really sure what it is that you're asking Stone. :?

Finger of suspicion has got to be on the bears.

I think I'm trying to check that the middle part isn't void of life, food etc for 1000's of km

The big paw of suspicion more like it.....

Would bears pass on the chance of food instead going for a pannier, scattering the contents, thinking that's a nice stove....... Maybe they wanted something to carry firewood so they could heat their honey and milk before bed and have hot honey on their waffles in the morning
