A person in the know has told me about a mountain in the alps that has only just had a road built up it - and will be used for the first time next year.
If anyone is on the area, have a look at the Col de Clarion - it's supposed to be a beast.

Well Knowing ASO they will probably finish the Stage at the bottom of the climb !!!
We cant have to many climbs eh - fantastic viewing in the Pyrenees NOT !!!! - it was like watching 2 days in a row the Etape du Tour ....it was so compelling viewing i cut the grass . thank you Mr Prudhomme for turning the Tour into a 3 week long Kermesse.
And as for folk on here saying the Tour is the hardest race - I Take it you have not watched the Giro for ages....better run race, Better stages.compelling viewing. everything the tour is not.0 -

My other half is Italian, and even she just started doing this... :roll:Making a cup of coffee is like making love to a beautiful woman. It's got to be hot. You've got to take your time. You've got to stir... gently and firmly. You've got to grind your beans until they squeak.
And then you put in the milk.0 -

Col de Clarion? I wonder if one of the rules for using the road is that you have to be a member of the Labour Party
GeoffOld cyclists never die; they just fit smaller chainrings ... and pedal faster0
