Didn't know where to put this so thought i would ask in here.
After my accident a few weeks back I am having to look at getting the bike repaired or replaced. Its an older Ridgeback Genesis day 02 (not sure the year) that i bought 2nd hand a couple of months ago and before the crash it was running well.
I took it to get a quote at the lbs and luckily there was no damage to the frame just the wheels and bar ends and he said it would cost £220 for the repair.
What i am now thinking is would i be best of just getting it repaired or shall I put a bit of extra money in and get a newer 2nd hand bike with better spec and poss split/sell the one i have now if it would worth it. If i were to get a new bike I would probably go for a drop bar bike next but not sure what would be the best bet.
Basic spec of mine is
Aluminium 7005 double butted frame
Tiagra group set
shimano RX100 brakes
Shimano wheels (to be replaced)
ally front fork
few pics
any advise would be great.
thanks
