i bought a pair of fox digit gloves, probably the best things i ever bought. Light weight and take a good hammering. For some reason you just cant feel the heat or the sweat, theyre very very very well ventilated. love them and highly reccomend. around 20-25

i've got some digits too, on days like today when it's 17c they're perfect for me where i'd find my mitts too cold.

I have been using the 661 Raji's since Christmas and the bar feel is superb...

I suffer from really hot hands, so the cold is not an issue for me, but it would be for some...especially during the winter....

After 6 months, I now have a little hole appearing on one palm, but I have been riding DH most every week, so not sure if that is due to a crash, or just my death grip on the bars...

I would buy another pair when these give up the ghost.

    +1 for Rajis
I just bought a pair of Rajis (red ones) and wore them for the first time this morning. So far, they seem really comfy and I personally think they look pretty cool too. Managed to get mine for £12 because Wiggle had given me a £10 voucher, would have paid full price if I had to though.

i use thor gloves they seem really well made, a lot of crashes still in good condition, wouldn't go for 661 gloves, hear a lot about them ripping almost straight away, i had some mace gloves for a few years and they were good, but the thors still feel better

I'm noticing these gloves don't really seem to be padded, do your hands not get battered?

-1 for these, have a pair and they started to fall apart on the first ride. they are well ventilated and comfy, but lack real robustness. i have no confidence that they would protect my hands in the event of a crash.

I would agree that they are not the most robust golves on the market.....but then again, they are not fully armoured DH gloves.....

I reckon you must have been unlucky with your falling apart on the first ride, as I and many others have had good experiences with them....

Thats the thing though isn't it.....You had a poor quality pair and its really put you off.....me saying I like them isn't likely to change your mind.

As for the comment about padding.....Yeah...I like the paml to quite thin so I can really feel the bars without material bunching up in my grip, and I also like to keep my hands as cool as possible....unlike many others, my hands and feet are always roasting even on freeing cold days!

Heard a few good comments about Mace gloves, and I reckon I might try out a pair of these:

I'd recommend Specialized's BG Ridge gloves. They're really comfy, padded in just the right places without being cumbersome, breathe well and they're durable.

    I have a brand new pair for sale: http://www.bikeradar.com/forum/viewtopi ... highlight=

I've bought myself a new pair (these were a gift in the wrong size) so I can post them out quickly if someone wants them...

Troy Lee XCs - one of the best gloves you'll purchase, and not expensive either.

RaceFace gloves are crap - mine fell apart in no time.

I also have pair of old 661 Nastys which I keep in my Camelbak for emergencies. I've had them 5 years and they're still going strong.

I have to disagree, meet sombrio decade crown jewel glove, very comfy as well.

Mace gloves are good and hard wearing too.

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.
