not sure if this is the right place but anyway.

i just wanted to share my mtb experience from sunday, my mate is a downhiller and took it upon himself to take me up to the top of skiddaw. the push up was hard work and quite scarey, but the trip down WOW, i still class myself as a noob having only been up whinlatter a couple of times, but boy have i been bitten by mtb`ing now i loved every second of it, i was buzzing all the way home and cant wait to do more, thanks for listening.

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

You may have to if you find out you have to sell her into slavery/prostitution to pay for that new bike you really, really need.

welcome to the world of the permagrin..

now you can justify that expensive bike,

the best thing is it doesn't go away you still get that ear to ear smile when you rail and nail a nice down hill or a sweet flowing section of singletrack..

They're right i got bit too, thought i'd be able to buy all i needed for £350.By the time i bought the bike i needed and pads and a helmet and some baggy shorts cos i don't want to ruin my normal one's plus a few extras for the bike chainstay protector, chain cleaner thingy, oil, brushes for cleaning, fenwicks stuff nearly £800 so far and thats without any breakages.but once you got the kit it's the best £800 i've ever spent!

Yeah I remember when my mates all thought I was mad cause I'd spent £350 on a bike.

Now £350 buys you wheels, or brakes. And the frame costs £600.

I thought £800 was quite respectable for my first bike and the kit to go with it.

Yeah, £800 is quite alot of money for a first bike and kit. But it's not a whole lot in the grand scheme of things!

As for the OP, welcome to the most addictive drug ever! It's gonna be easier, cheaper and safer to get addicted to crystal meth!! **

No no, never smile. If you do you'll end up swallowing a mouthfull of flies as you hammer down the trail.

Grimmace my friend, grimmace. That's the face of a true mountain biker.

Get yourself a Go Pro Wide Helmet Hero video cam and mount it to you/the bike. Brilliant memories and it helps show your friends what you've really been doing instead of a description which just won't cut it 8)
