Can anyone tell me where you can buy a replacement middle chainring for an XTR chainset!?
Unless I've gone completely mad (which isn't entirely unbelievable), I can't find a place that sells them :-(

I see from your pinkbike photo's that your (very nice) S-Works is running an M970 chainset. As I'm sure you've now discovered, the price of new replacement OEM chainrings is absolutely astronomical, nigh-on £300 for all three rings if you were to pay full price. I had the same quandry so got ahold of some of these...

They're beautifully made, long-lasting and a fraction of the price of Shimano rings.
They're french, but you can turn a blind eye to that!
Go for them.Society is like a stew. You have to stir things up now and again otherwise the scum will rise to the top.0 -
Ha, fuuny! "Turn a blind eye to that!".....I just dont think I could :-( Well I've taken the hit and bought Shimano replacements. My bank account is now fully empty! Joy!2011 Yeti ASR5 carbon: http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/5817307/
