Which shoes and cleats for my pedals?

Hello all,
On my new purchase the bike came with some wellgo CR1 Road pedals.
To get me started I just took the pedals off and put on a 'normal pair'
I want to now put these CR1 pedals back on and get a coorect pair of shoes and cleats to fit.
From the wellgo website I can use either RC5 or RC6 cleats, but the question is - with which shoes?
The other question is - should I get a set of racing shoes or just go for a set of MTB type shoes?
Any help is appreciated and of course, what with forking out for the bike and all the other gear, good value product recommendations are always well received.
Cheers,
Dru.

By the looks it they are a three hole pattern which means you would need some road shoes. I would pop down to your local bike shop and try on some shoes, they are incredibly difficult to size over the internet and IMO it's not worth the hassle of getting it wrong. You live and learn. At any rate, you live0

Is it too cheeky to go to a LBS and try them on - then go and compare online prices to get the best deal?0

Yes. Just consider the shops point of view. They provide a place that stocks all the bikewear for you to try on and you give your business to an online store that doesn't provide the same service so the LBS gets nothing for their troubles. If you know your size or are willing to order more than one size with the understanding that you will pay for return postage on the unused item than I see nothing wrong with buying online.0 -
Update Guys.... I went to one of the local bike shops (tredz in Cardiff) and tried some shoes one.
The third size I tried fitted nice and snug - and managed to get them for the online price.
I'm now an owner of a pair of Shimano R076's and suitable cleats for my pedals.
I managed to get them for £52.49 which was much better than the retail of £69.99
Also I spoke to another LBS who told me that shoes were going to go up by close to 20% over the coming months.
So I'm pretty pleased that I've got them now.
Thanks for all your help guys and advice.
