Hi all,

I am considering upgrading my Tektro Auriga Comps and buying some Avid Juicy 7's.

Would there be a noticable improvement to the braking with these?

I don't have much confidence in the Aurigas. The lever has gone 'long' a few times, necessitating a couple of bleedings.

I don't trail the brakes, I pump them to try and not over heat them.

I would like to go to bigger rotors, but my Dart 3 is only rated for 160mm rotors max.

Ideally I would like to get 203mm fronts and 180mm rear rotors, but that would require a new fork too. Far too expensive

Any opinions would be appreciated :D

how about some new sinterred pads? depending on whats already fitted it will make a massive difference to the power.

Cheers sheepsteeth, I will order some now and give them a try. By far the cheaper and more sensible option!

    Not a bad price either

I've also seen ceramic pads on disco brakes. Have you got any experience of these?

ive never tried ceramic but always use sinterred, they just seem so much better although im led to believe that organic pads are better in the dry.

my previous faves were ebc gold but since you can get pads for such a cheap price at superstarcomponents, i always use them and they have been faultless for me.
