Just looking for a bit of help in setting up my 409 dual air's,
1. i have been told that i should set the negative chamber 20lbs less than the possitive
2. also been told to set the negative 10lbs more than the positive
3. then i was told to set them equal
aaaaaahhhh
any help would be great.

Less negative equals a stiffer fork, set if you expect to be taking a lot of big hits.
More negative equals a "plusher" fork which will be more small bump complient.
I usually set about 5-10psi more in the negative chamber.0 -
Thanks
I'll have a mess around i think and see how i get on

Right, here we go again...
THIS IS THE CORRECT VERSION, DON'T LISTEN TO ANYONE ELSE...
1. The positive chamber is the spring that props the fork up.
2. The negative chamber helps control how sensitive to hits the fork is - that is, it controls bump sensitivity. It does this by pulling the fork into it's stroke, so depending upon how you set it you will lose a little travel.
3. Start from the beginning. Empty both chambers completely.
4. Now pressurise the positive chamber and set sag to suit. You know how to do this, right??
5. Attach the pump to the negative valve and start pumping. Ideally, you need to have the negative chamber approximately 5 - 10psi higher than that in the positive. So for example, if you have 150psi in the positive spring then you need to have 155 - 160psi in the negative.
6. Adding more air to the negative chamber will pull the fork further into it's travel, but the fork will react sooner to small hits.0 -
as already put in the FAQs."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
