Hi
Can some one give me a brief guide to the range of the above.
Sora,tiagra 105's ,compagnolo etc.
From the poorest to the best preferably,I know nothing of any of them but I am looking for a road bike under about £700 and am finding it hard going as I know nothing of the quality of these components.
On mountain bikes it seems a bit more straight forward sram x0 or shimano xtr.
While your at it perhaps, you could mention a decent bike for around that money.
Thanks

and when We've done all of that for you we'll stick a broom up our arses and sweep the floor!
Suggest you look on Shimano, Sram and Campo website and look at their groupsets as that will answer your question. Then do a search for similar threads on what bike under a grand0 -
Im looking for it for someone who is not that well shall we say and I want to get it asap as a gift.
Just want a quick bit of advice thats all, nothing long, you could of told me in the length of your reply.
I wanted to order something this weekend.I genuinely havent got a clue, with 300 odd posts though you probably have.I was looking at the Bianchi Bianchi C2C Via Nirone 7 Alu Xenon 10sp Mix Compact 2009 Bike.
I can still shove that brush up your arse though.0 -
sounds like your not well, in the head!
You can't just 'order' a bike for someone else and expect it to be right. It's like me looking at your misses and guessing her dress size, buying her a dress and expecting it to fit and for her to like it, no chance.
Get some vouchers from Evans or another bike shop and give them that, then when your 'friend' is better he/she can then go along to said store and pick out a bike themselves that fits.0 -
I've found a Wikipedia that covers just what you want. That was lucky. Hope the dress fits.
