No, not a 1970s Dr Who adventure, but that weird incomplete "V" mark you get at the top of your forehead after wearing a Giro Ionos helmet. Mine seems to be getting more noticeable and lasting longer every time I go out. I think it might be on its way to becoming permanent!

Seriously, it can be a bit of a nuisance. There are definitely occasions when you don't want to look as if you have been branded as a vole-stealer for an hour after arriving somewhere by bike..

Get a 2D - then you look like a mushroom when riding but come off unmarked afterwards.

    I like mine a lot.

The Ionos makes you look a bit like a mushroom too, definitely more that the Atmos does. I do like the Ionos in all other respects though.

Brad Wiggins, interviewed on ITV4 at 7pm tonight, had lines down his forehead....looked like he had been pressing his head up against some railings, or looking out of a prison cell......

I've just seen this on the ITV highlights replay - these are the marks of Prolight, Giro's new helmet just unveiled today!

So it looks like silly forehead marks are an upward trend in helmet design...

What happens if you hit the back of your head? The only time I have hit my head on hte road, as opposed to offroad, I gave the back of my head a right wallop. I was seeing starsa for a couiple of minutes but no lasting damage to me or the helmet (Giro Pneumo).
I have only two things to say to that; Bo***cks
