Giant Reign Frame Size

I am about to buy a Giant Reign but would like some advice please.

I have been down to my local Giant dealer but they do not have a Reign in stock for me to try out in regards to frame size so I am going to be buying from tinterweb. I am 5'11" which seems to be the higher end of the 18" frame and the lower end of the 20" frame.

I was looking at getting a Reign 2 (2009 in Red) for £1450 but I can get hold of a Reign 0 (2008 in Putty) for just a few hundred more but only in 18" frame.

Would an 18" frame be fine and get the better spec bike or do I need to get the 20" frame which means getting the Reign 2?

Getting a Reign 0 (2009) isn't an option as I can't justify the extra £1000 for the upgrades it offers.

I'm 6 foot and ride an 18" Giant VT which is bob on for me. At 5' 11" I'd say that the 20" frame would be too big for you - reckon on your inside leg measurement minus 14" and you'll be somewhere near.

I agree with Dave.

I'm also 6ft and ride and 18" Trance X2. I tried it in large but felt that I was reaching too far and wanted a bit more control so I went for the M sized frame. Feels perfect for me and so far has been very chuckable.
