the zesty looks even better this year and 714 and 914 will have carbon frames and adjustable geometry.

any one know how much they're gonna cost???? i know commencal have bumped the prices up massivley by 400-600quid. is this gonna be the same across the board or are commencal just placing them selves into high a price range?

It's pretty much a given that a '10 bike will be either more expensive or worse spec than the '09. Happens every year with almost every manufacturer.

From the pics I saw of the '10 Zesty 514 the blue detailing looked tacky. My deposits down now on an '09 Spicy 516 so I'm gonna stick my fingers in my ears and go la la la la if they end up being better

That carbon zesty will not be cheap, what do you reckon £4000?

I like the Orange prototype, but I do like DH bikes to look a bit agricultural. EDIT: Link has changed, forget the bit about the Orange prototype.

will be a Stunning bike i'm sure but is a Lot of coin!

however, if you could get one on the bike to work with a 40% saving it'll be a decent price then!

    Hmm....

Have to say I think that whilst the 2010 Zesty 514 retains the beautiful frame lines the paint job is a bit of a minger....

Looks very Trekky as someone remarked elsewhere and definitely too busy. Wonder how the price/component list will stack up.

But then again I am biased :D

FWIW I also think the 2009 Spicy looks much better.

    Good evening all.

Just browsing this thread and thought Id make my maiden posting :)

Looking at that pic of the 2010 zesty 514, it appears to have a propedal switch on the shock.
Is this I wonder a standard upgrade (yay) or is this just a prototype early sales model?

    How can you compare:

    rjqpzp.jpg

    and:

    Five-Pro_HP_PP_custom-0021.jpg

I'm not trying to start a flame thread here, that Lapierre truely is a thing of beauty though. The Orange with it's big bright coloured wheels and fat frame, it's similar to comparing:

i see where you're comin from toasty but the bright colours just make me all excited :)

all the bikes ive ever had have been black and while i have nothing against them, cos ive had bits of red, brown and white thrown on as well, a bike with a loud paintjob seems to do it for me atm.... maybe the orange is untasteful but the idea of colur coordinated wheels and frame is genius i think it would be better in blue imo

but i agree that as a frame the zesty wins hands down

btw the 360 is not a pretty car

    Villa1_1600.jpg

    that is a pretty car

sorry about the huge pic

I think the new ones look pretty tacky personally. I really liked the look of 09 zestys and spicys.

i liked the 09 bikes too but the bolder colurs of 2010 seem alot nicer on the zesty than the do the spicy.

btw found some more pics of the ret of the range :D

    zesty600.jpg
zesty 914 supposedly sub25lbs...... also has a 5mm sorter toptube for more comfort/better handling and all models above 314 will come with fox FIT forks and BOOSTVALVE rp shocks

    xcontrol900.jpg
x-control 900 with full xx groupset

    prorace700a600.jpg
prorace 700, but the 900 will be sub 19lbs without pedals

    froggy600.jpg
froggy looks just that ....... worst loking bike of 2010 perhaps?????
  • lapierres 2010 are very nice especially the zesty with the red truvativ noir and the red bits on the frame
I assume this is French petrol - be careful in reverse - the car will retreat rapidly at the least provocation.

nice .... any idea on pricing??? cant seem to find anything :(
  • Does anyone know roughly when the 2010 range will be available? Different manufacturers seem to release at different times of the year. Tried to buy a zesty 314 today but was told they are sold out.
