Woke up early today, got ready and was eager for a commute after enjoying a wonderful dream where I was spotted doing the Dragon ride, signed by Team Sky and won the Tour Series, Tour of Britain, Ireland Veluta (sp) and put an awesome performance in the Tour de France. Needless to say I was charged for today’s commute.

Picked up my Giant and found I had incurred my 3rd puncture in a month… this being my second back wheel puncture on the bike.

My only conclusion is that it’s the wheel, presumably the rim tape, because the superb Continental 4 Seasons is just that superb and the rubber is intact with no chips or shards of anything penetrating its persons.

    Could be pinch punctures?

If it was the rim tape wouldn't it happen more?
Fixed gear for wet weather / hairy roadie for posing in the sun.

    What would Thora Hurd do?

Find the ouncture on the damaged tube and it will tell you where they are coming from. on the "inside" its the rim tape, outside and its a foreign object. Holding the tube against the tyre (if you remember to keep the oreintation right) will also tell you where to look for the offender!

check, the inner tube should beable to see the hole. how old are the 4 seasons they are still quite light weight, and they certianly do puncture judging by club runs. less than some better than others as ever.

I got a puncture last week on the rear wheel the tube lasted two days.

I fitted the last tube on Tuesday, rode the bike Wednesday, it was flat on Thursday... gonna through the wheel out of a window on Friday and buy another one on Saturday...

But yeah gonna do some investigating as to where the puncture is coming from. I've had the 4 season for 4 - 5 months and its intact and no visible cracks of anything or the inside or outside.

pinch flat should give a distintive look hence it's other name snake bite, two tiny holes where the rim's hit.
