even tho it was only 32miles total. i usually stick to routes i know inside out but then i start treating them like time trial routes. so thankfully decided to try some roads i hadnt been on. one of those makes you smile moment was a small bird flew out in front of me, holding pace ahead for a few seconds. so im well pleased to find new training grounds.

The experience of riding down a narrow country road with a sparrowhawk just on your front wheel or a hare running alongside is one of the rare joys of cycling
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

The other day I got myself purposely lost in order to find some new routes and found some wonderful ones.

I don't know how people always ride the same route...way too boring and unadventurous.

Had a Barn Owl do that not far from you in May near South Warnborough - was fab.

I went for a cycle from Edinburgh, ended up in Stirling then cycled down through fife and over the forth road bridge. Considering I was only going out for a coule of hours it ended up into an all day epic, but the weather and scenery were amazing. 8)

This regularly sits in our garden (the shot is from our bedroom window):

Do an MTB ride twice a week before work and have adapted it for the road bike. Rarely see another car apart from in Truro. Seen loads of badgers, foxes, the odd peregrine, etc. Very hilly but it's lush.

Chased a Badge and seen a Fox on the way to work the other week. Have also had a large Bird of prey fly along side me in the Cairngorms for a brief moment. :P

I was cycling along today and some colorful little bird only just managed to keep pace with me as it swooped out and my front wheel basically kicked the bird in the ass then it turned off
