I been cycling for a good few months now and really enjoying it, also suprised by the improved fitness i getting even though allready fit.

One thing that been bothering me a little is on my left hand/index finger/little finger it clicks when i open and close hand, also when i feelbelow the finger you can feel it clicking.

i been told this quite common and called "trigger finger"

I use sombiro cartell gloves when i cycle but i still have this trigger finger, useally this wouldnt bother me but i recently noticed that it hard to do pull ups with this as it quite painfull when doing so.

has anyone else got trigger finger? or something simular and is this common amoung mountain bikers, and what things do you do to stop it or help it...

i wonder maybe making my fork more sensitive, might help...

I've got it, right hand little finger. I don't think it's biking that causes it. See here http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/conditions/ ... ger1.shtml

i have it, but iv had it for ages, long before i started riding. i had it in my thumb wich stoipped me writing, esp in the mornings, so i had an oporation to remove the swelling on the tendon, i now have it on my left index finger, im not sure if i can be bothered with an oporation as it isnt stopping me do anything, and iv got used to the pain now. it sometimes shows itself in other fingers too, i think it can grow. if it really bothers you, go to an orthepiedic clinic, they should tell you if you need an opp, incidentaly, its quite a nasty opp, you get general anestetic, and are keps in hospital for at least the day, and you cant use the hand for a few weeks, oh and it hurts like nothig else!
