I tried it a while back with mixed results. Has anyone used a chain wax that lasts for more than one ride but still keeps the drivetrain spangly clean?

Its about Squirt which is a wax based lube, I've been using it for around two weeks and its holding up pretty well. Doesn't clean the chain spangly clean but does keep it functionally clean, i.e you can see dirt on it but only cause this is being forced out of the innards by the lube.

    Hope that helps.

Cheers afro - I've asked them for a sample. The last wax I used either flaked off or built up but it did keep the chain clean
  • No worries, hope it works for you!

Yup squirt is meant to be by far the best wax lube out there, i found white lightning grounded to a paste and slick caramel just plain vanished.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

I've been using Muc off dry lube and i'm not impressed with it came back from afan yesterday and my chain was caked in dust which was like a paste.
Also on a bike thats about 2 weeks old when i first got the bike home i degreased the chain with muc off degreaser and a old scrubbing brushed washed it off then dried it with a old rag then applied the chain lube and wiped off the excces i now have a chain with rusty bits on it, i do this after every ride apart from the degreaseing bit.

Ive just bought some finish line dry teflon lube that is supposed to be ok for all conditions.
