Jerseys for chunky chaps

Anyone know of suitable jerseys for us chunkies? All the ones I see are, errr, tight - and that's not something that anyone wants to see on me (spare tyres? You could kit out a bus with mine)

And before you ask...I'm too shy to go into a bike shop and be laughed at by slender assistants who ride 200 miles a week

It's just a hill. Get over it.

    Go to Halfords then......

.... in general, aim for touring or mtb jerseys. Road gear is supposed to be tight to reduce drag. Mtb gear isn't as bad.

I was going to say the MTB type stuff is a more relaxed fit, although if you like the 3 rear pockets in a road jersey, a lot of the MTB jserseys have a single pocket, and quite often they are zipped as well, and sometimes so the opening is vertical as opposed to horizontal.

Could get irritating if you like to use your jersey pockets.

Or wear a brightly coloured football top available in any discounted sports store near you. Zero wind or rain proofing but it wicks pretty well and is light and visible.

True, you have to shop around. I've got a Descente jersey with mtb cut and three roadie style pockets at the back (and a large picture of Eric Cartman on the back).

Do normal style road or mtb jerseys have a degree of waterproofing or windproofing?

The Speg stuff is bascially body condom clothing. - but with it better quality.

The cycle clothing own brand stuff is lycra but more generous for those who like to visit the pub....

You're wearing it in entirely the wrong place, and its wicking properties mean such misuse could lead to undesired consequences.

    I think you'll find I was wearing condoms incorrectly, that's why I have a son. 8)

Dude, I just wear normal T shirts.

You can get great ones that say 'Let the 455 kicking commence' or 'Second place is first loser' !

Much better than Marmite and Gore !
