Wonder if Denis Menchov has contemplated forming an Elastoplast-Savlon team for next season?

"Your sprint finish is being held in a queue. Please wait until a race commissaire is available" (followed by naff piped music).

Does this mean that any Astana stage winners will have to dress in a Borat style mankini?+++++++++++++++++++++
we are the proud, the few, Descendents.
Panama - finally putting a nail in the economic theory of the trickle down effect.0 -
Do you think he may have ben phoning sponsors to tell them when he will be bailing out of the tour? Its only a matter of time......  :twisted:0
-
thought it looked a bit tacky... not sure he will want to see repeats of the video in 10 yrs time..... but hey guess he will get a few free phonecalls.0
-
What was he promoting here, then?
'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'0 -
Columbia-HTC are a US registered team. Columbia are primarily a US brand, and no doubt HTC want to make a killing in that market. Have you seen the way a lot of US sports people behave in interviews?
The first thing they generally do is thank the fans and sponsors, while drinking one of their sponsors drinks, and wearing the baseball cap.
HTC do the new Google phone (HTC Magic), supposed to be an excellent piece of kit.I was planning to get one, but work ordered me an iPhone instead - which is also great.
(I'd like to point out I'm not sponsored by Apple )0 -
LangerDan - he was promoting DZNuts.http://www.dz-nuts.com/catalog/0

Just can't stand the man, don't know why.....0

Was todays celebration up to par ? He should have pinched Thors green specs as he blew past him :P0
-
I think he was advertising Oakleys at the end of yesterday's stage.
Pity the guy that picks up the Vaseline sponsorship ("oh yes, he's certainly using that in a major way, certainly").0 -
I do know why, but it is really petty... :P0

...a few free phone calls?
...a free phone??
Cav probably got paid/will get paid more for doing that cheesy victory salute than most people here would earn in a year.
...personally, I don't blame him. I'd do it if I were in a similar position. ie. Arguably the current top sprinter, physically able to comfortably take the time out to make myself look an ar*e across the finish line. For mucho $$$'s.
That's the swimming pool sorted.
I just hope next years sponsors aren't Anusol! :shock:Cycling weakly0 -
If it is Anusol next year as a sponsor Cavendish would be my choice of arse cream advertiser.
maybe after he releases his "Autobiography" at the age of , what 24? 25?, pl  eeease.0
