Tescos cycling computer

Im looking at getting a cycling and noticed a cheap one in the tescos direct website. My question is does anyone have any experience with one of these, and are they actually any good.

I was looking at getting a Cateye Strada wireless, but thought if this one was any good I could save the money. Is there much difference between the two?

    Yes, I've been running a few of these. Seem to work OK< though the missuses one developed an imtermittent problem with it not sensing the magnet. Think that may have been down to a weak magent or something.
    Does everything I want it to.

    Looks identical to one I picked up at Lidl/Aldi a few years back - before upgrading to something with cadence. Bargain at the price

    I used a cheap one - adequate enough - although the speeds sometimes read wrong at traffic lights etc - interference - it also didn't work with a flashing front light on - again interference.

    Good enough for the money though.

    I've been using one of these for about 2 months now.

    It's not very good IMO and would not recommend to anyone.

    Half the time, it says that I'm travelling at 75mph! Which, as much as I'd like to believe, isn't very helpful. I only use it now to keep track of my cadence.
    When it does decide that I'm not travelling over the motorway speed limit, it sometimes jumps an extra 2mph.

    It's very frustrating but at the moment, I'm not in a position to change it.

    Have you tried changing the battery as this can have problems if it is low?

    I haven't tried changing the battery, as it pretty much started behaving like this straight out of the box. I can't imagine they sell these things with dodgy batteries, though it is Tesco!

    I'll give it a go, as when the computer is actually working properly, it's very easy to use and read when riding, for me anyway.

    It can happen but does not happen much and hope that does sort it out as I was looking at getting one myself as the one I have from Lidl's.
    The heart monitor has stopped working.

    So as this also has cadence for £10 and get a heart monitor on its own, so let us know if changing the batteries works thanks

    I've changed both the batteries. The one in the sensor and the one in the computer. I've checked that they were both working by putting them in my HRM and they both worked fine.

    I'll test the new batteries properly over the next few days and I should be able to get back to you at the weekend with the results. I should get at least 3 rides in by then, unless the forecast thunder storm rears it's ugly head.

    Over 100 miles on the new batteries and it seems to be behaving, most of the time. I thought it had worked perfectly all through yesterday's 4 hour ride. Unfortunately, when I was checking the stats at the end of the ride, it showed my max speed at 75mph again, which means that it was still playing silly beggars, even with two new batteries. I didn't however, see it going crazy, so it is an improvement but for how long!?

    I still wouldn't recommend this computer to anyone. Hopefull it may prove me wrong in future.
