Question for someone who has ridden the etape du tour before

Hello

What is the check in procedure on the day of the race.

My understanding is that there is a check in on the day before where riders collect bibs and timing chips and confirm their identity but are there any further checks on the morning of the race or do you just turn up with your number and you are given entry to the start?

Just turn up on the morning half an hour before the start, you need to enter the right pen, and will be let into the pen on the basis of your race number.

so I will not need to take any further identification with me except the race number and the timing chip on teh day itself and that will get me access to the start
