No riding got the pig bug

Eldest boy brought it home from school where its been confirmed he was off for 3 days with mild symptons which tbh didn't think was the bug till it hit me with both barrells. Felt like death Sat night and sunday couldn't move almost crying head and body was hurting so much rung emergency doc and coz I have asthma I qualify for getting Tamiflu as in areas where there is a high rate of infection (I'm in inner city London) they are trying to reduce the prescribing of the drug to prevent resistance developing. Much better now outta bed and watching telly might even do rear wheel which needs new stans milk adding as the wheel just been retrued. Chest hurts though hope I will be ok for 19th got 6 hour race in Thetford

its not contagous through internet forums is it??? you should of gone for a ride and shouted "i have swine flu!!" at any pedestrians or others who wont move out of the way, it would of been one of the most un-interrupted rides youd ever of had. im pleased your feeling better though, i hope you make a full recovery soon.

Had a dose myself a couple of weeks back (of flu). Don't know whether it was of the
Pig variety but is was a right B'stard to get rid of.

Shooting pains in the head and a chest infection that lasted 3 weeks and in the summer?

I didn't go the doctors but Mmmm..........I do wonder!

cheers, yeah basically its no different to the winter flu just its here in summer and if you have an underlying health issue the symptons can be worse and cause complications. In a strange way glad I've got it now coz according to reports its gonna hit big time in winter, chest is still sore and feel well fazed out but reckon will have cleared for race just have to bin any expectations of doing well and focus on getting round best I can considering.

Yeah hope you are better soon dude!! I had the winter flu in, well suprisingly, winter, and it was horrible!!
