As this is the home of silly questions and helpful answers, I thought I would ask here.
Is it possible to attach rear panniers to a full suspension bike....?
I have the thought in my head that it isn't, but I'm asking just in case.....
Ta muchly.

Yes it is possible, Halfords do a rack that bolts onto the seatpost of your bike. If I remember correctly its around £20 mark and its mady of alu and takes a max weight of 15kg.Commuter: Saracen Vex '03 (Full XT drivetrain, Rockshox Tora 302 80mm, Conti Touring Plus..etc)
MTB Hardtail: Orbea Satellite - Team Colours '08 (Full XTR drivetrain, Reba Teams, XC717s - Hope Pro II, Fire XC Pro 2.1...etc).0 -
Yes... and No
Which isn't helpful......
There are a number of options, but it depends very much on the size of the panniers. The boom racks above have a habit of twisting and if there is insufficient clearance can end up in the wheels
"Old Man mountain" for instance make racks that fit on t arear suspended triangle, which is a far better solution.
Carradice supply both the front and rear suspension variations.
NOt chep, but very high quality and safer than the options.<b><i>He that buys land buys many stones.

Carradice and Klickfix do seat post mounted bags with enough capacity to tour with sizes from 6 to 26 litre.Neil
